Open Education Week USP Showcase & Forum 2017

As part of Open Education Week 2017 (promoted by the Open Education Consortium), the Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL) organized a showcase and forum that was held on the 29th of March 2017 at the Communication Conference Room at USP. This was a half-day event running from 9am to 1pm. The forum was officially opened by Deputy Vice Chancellor Research, Innovation & International Professor Derrick Armstrong with the closing remarks by Professor Jito Vanualailai, Director of Research.  Professor Som Naidu, Pro Vice Chancellor Flexible Learning and Director CFL led facilitation of the activities.

Participants from the three Faculties at USP along with representatives from the Ministry of Education Fiji, Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC), Fiji National University, Pacific Theological College (PTC) and the University of Fiji were invited to attend. FHEC and PTC were the only two external groups participating.

The main purpose of the forum was to celebrate Open Education Week (27 – 31 March) by showcasing and discussing Open Education activities and progress at USP. The forum was officially registered at http://www.openeducationweek.org
